Geelong Design Week
Public workshop investigating spatial awareness and movement design. What is the bodies relationship to space and others? How do embodied considerations inform our understanding of design elements in the lived moment?
We aim to suggest alternative pedagogy in spatial learning, looking at movement practice as a perceptual tool that can contribute to the development of spatial intelligence. Participants will be introduced to basic choreographic principles of movement and encouraged to explore how these can be used to enrich the design of space, products and/or systems.
Part observation and part practical participation, no previous movement experience required, suitable for all levels.
